What affects price?
Key variables include floor area, shape, glazing, roof form, access, foundations, drainage, structural openings, specification, internal finishes and location. A simple square building is usually more economical than a highly articulated design of the same area.
How quotations are prepared
Early figures may be based on assumptions. A detailed quotation is prepared once the design, site information and package boundaries are sufficiently defined. VAT, professional fees, statutory fees and client-supplied items should be identified separately.
